Do Forced Opt-Ins Wind You Up?

Written on May 18, 2008 – 12:28 am | by Ross |

Well you probably wonder what I’m going on about but I started a massive debate off over at the Warrior Forum and the thread has had over 1500 views and 150+ comments. Wow!!

That’s within 2 days.

If you look at this from a marketing point of view you can easily drive extra traffic to your signature links by causing debates and threads on popular subjects.

Food for thought hey!!!

I didn’t do this on purpose for traffic but it just shows doesn’t it.

The reason I asked this question is I was posting away in somebody else’s thread and someone started debating with me that forced opt-ins were better than optional optins, well I fought back.

This was against my beliefs and he argued back. I wanted to take this to the forum so I started off my own thread and sat back and watched the debate unravel.

Just thought i’d share this for you. Enjoy.

(Go post a comment on the thread and get it back on the first page of the Warrrion Forum - See where it goes..!!)

Hi Ross, I watched the thread unfold as it happened, and I have to say… I concur..

Opt-in’s are optional, when the user makes a choice to leave their details..

Keep rockin Ross, I enjoy your posts on WF
