Use a Planner and Increase Productivity

planne You need to use a  day to day planner or a simple To Do List to increase your productivity. Everyone does. Simple thing to have , yet so many don’t. Why is that?

It is so easy to get distracted and a simple planner will help you get back on track. Set yourself daily goals and aim to hit them.

Each day your planner should be filled with things to do  and achieve.

A planner will help you reach those goals and stay real productive.

Get organized. The  killer of all business plans is dis-organization. If you start getting your business organized you will find your entire life getting that way – Disorganized.!!

It’s much simpler to start this way than to do it later on when your desk is piled high with books, files and little post it notes.

Set your schedule on paper. This will help you plan out your day, week , month even the year. Write down meetings, time frames for work, bills that need to be paid. don’t forget important dates, holidays, anniversaries, birthdays. Do not forget your anniversary. No matter how busy you are that is not the day to overlook. Trust me on that one.  Get into the habbit now and you’ll be really successful.

Give your self time to get work done. If you work from home you will find that the hours you work also are filled with distractions. Allow time for those little interruptions that happen. But if you are organized you will find that you won’t have to work seven days a week , 20 hours a day. You will get more done if you have a list and make a plan.

Get serious about opening your planner everyday  in fact look a day or two in advance. This way you will always know if a meeting is something that you can schedule to be a lunch meeting instead of at an office.

The only way to keep your business and personal life organized is with a planner or a big calendar. set aside time to fill it out and use it. Life will move along smoother for you if you do.

Hi Ross,

There have been a number of posts recently about organisation, planning, goal setting. All so very true. If we keep on top of it, as you say, it is much easier in the long run. Great post, thanks for sharing this.

Enjoy the journey.

This helps a ton.

Writing down your daily task helps you to stay focused and also to actually DO what you need to do.
